Sigh

a sigh floated up one day
meandering dreamily it made its way
vaguely redolent of a gentle caress
a vagrant breeze teasing a soft cotton dress
murmuring lightly, so soft so quiet
silk skirts rustling on a cold winter night
the faintest of colours had just the slight trace
of pale pink scarves around a scarlet face
when touched, it was the smoothness that lingers
when soft lace is run between softer fingers

silently it rose higher into the sky
just another moment, unnoticed, passed by
